The Light

I came across a quote I had written down:

We don’t need to seek the light by analysing the darkness.

Is it meaningful, trite, deep, shallow, obvious, hidden, timely, dated? Does it fit with the times or is it behind the times? Is the ahead of the curve or lost on the roundabout?
